It all began with a love for piano, guitar, music theory, and the art of audio engineering. At Musicians Institute, Alex immersed himself in these disciplines, laying the groundwork for what would become a remarkable career. But it wasn't just study and theory – Alex craved real-world experience, and he found it as an intern and runner at esteemed studios like Conway Recording Studios and Paramount Recording Studios. With determination in his heart and a vision in his mind, Alex founded his first studio, Shrine Recording Studios, in Valencia, CA. Here, he embarked on the beginning of a long journey of ups and downs leading him to one of the most iconic recording locations in the world.
Today, Alex operates from his private sanctuary, Stygian Sound, nestled within the iconic Sound City Center complex. From this sacred space, he extends his expertise to artists and bands worldwide, offering top-tier production, mixing, and mastering services. He has had the privilege of collaborating with his icons and heroes in the industry including Meegs Rascon, Sin Quirin, Burton C. Bell, Paul Wiley, Mark Gemini Thwaite, Richard Patrick, Tim Palmer, Chris Collier, and Mike Wells (R.I.P.) among many others. Crescioni has worked with artists and musicians on Nuclear Blast Reocrds, Cleopatra Records, Pavement Entertainment, Golden Robot Records, Metal Assault Records, Steamhammer Records, Sliptrick Records, EMP Label Group, Gore House Productions, Frontiers Records, Danse Macabre Records, and Minotauro Records.
