WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO DELIVER FILES FOR MIXING?
Check out this video! "How To Properly Consolidate Your Multi-Track Audio Files For Your Mix Engineer!"
A zipped Pro Tools session (audio files folder, plus Pro Tools file) is best! If using a different DAW, consolidate all multi-track audio files to zero and send as .WAV at the highest bit & sample rate your session was recorded at. Do not convert down. Make sure all files/tracks are labeled clearly (Kick1, Kick2, Snare1, etc. Do not leave tracks as Audio1, Audio2, etc.) Editing/vocal tuning is not a part of mixing, so make sure your tracks are delivered how you want them to sound. If you need assistance with editing/tuning, this can be completed at an additional rate.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO DELIVER FILES FOR MASTERING?
Deliver your final stereo mix(es) as .WAV files at the highest resolution that your session was recorded at. Do not convert down.
(96kHZ/24bit, 48kHZ/24bit, etc.)
